Can Privacy Bee Remove Court Cases or Arrest Records?

Overview

We understand how concerning certain online exposures can be - especially when they involve sensitive information tied to court activity, property ownership, or other public filings.

While Privacy Bee works proactively to reduce where your personal information appears online, government and legally published public records have different rules and are not always eligible for removal.

Why Some Public Records Can't Be Removed

Privacy Bee cannot remove information from government websites or legally published public record sources when the law permits that information to remain publicly accessible.

These sources may include public records such as:

  • County or state property tax records
  • Court records and case indexes
  • Arrest records and related public documentation

Public Record Limitation:

Government and public record websites are often legally allowed (and sometimes required) to publish certain information.

If a website requires legal documentation, you may need to submit those records directly through the website’s process (or through your legal representative).

When Court Records May Be Eligible for Removal

Some websites may remove or restrict court records only under specific legal circumstances, such as if the case was:

  • Expunged
  • Dismissed
  • Sealed
  • A not-guilty verdict was issued

In many cases, the website will require official documentation to confirm one of these outcomes.

If you have legal documentation showing your case qualifies under one of these conditions, some sites may be willing to update or remove the record.

Privacy Bee does not have a secure method to store, upload, or transmit sensitive legal documents on your behalf.

Security & Privacy Note:

To protect your sensitive information, Privacy Bee cannot collect or handle documents such as court orders, expungement paperwork, or sealed record confirmations.

If a website requires legal documentation, you may need to submit those records directly through the website’s process (or through your legal representative).

What Privacy Bee Can Do to Help

Privacy Bee is a proactive data privacy service, meaning our focus is on reducing how easily your personal information can be found through People Search Sites and Data Broker networks.

We can help by submitting removal requests to:

  • Data Brokers
  • People Search Sites

What this accomplishes:

Removing your personal details from Data Brokers and People Search Sites can make it significantly harder for bad actors to locate your information through common search pathways - especially when those sites act as “shortcuts” to find addresses, phone numbers, and family connections.

If You Need Search Result Suppression or Reputation Management

Privacy Bee works to remove personal data at the source (Data Brokers and People Search databases). However, if your goal is to push certain content further down in search results (sometimes called suppression), you may need additional support.

Privacy Bee + Reputation Management = Full Coverage

  • Privacy Bee: Removes your personal data from Data Brokers and People Search Sites.
  • Reputation Management: Helps reduce the visibility of content by pushing search results to the back pages.

There are many reputable reputation management providers available, but Privacy Bee does not have a specific company we officially recommend.

Next Steps

If you are facing a situation involving public records or legal exposures, we recommend:

  1. Identifying whether the record qualifies for removal (expunged, dismissed, sealed, or not-guilty).
  2. Submit documentation directly to the website when required.
  3. Continuing Privacy Bee removals to reduce exposure across Data Brokers and People Search Sites.
  4. Considering reputation management support if search result suppression is needed.
