How do I add a Family Member's Contact Information?

Adding a family member to your Privacy Bee account is quick and easy. Once added, you'll be able to manage their contact details, purchase or assign a license, and view their dashboard progress - all from the Family Protection page.


Adding a family member creates a contact in your Family Protection list. A license is not automatically included unless you purchase and assign one.



Step 1: Open the Family Protection Page


Navigate to Family Protection in the left-hand menu.

Step 2: Add Your Family Member's Details


To add a new family member:


  • Click Add Family Member
  • Enter their first name
  • Enter their last name
  • Enter their email address

Make sure the email address is entered correctly, since your family member will use it to log in and complete their Identity Vault (profile).



Step 3: Confirm the Family Member Was Added


After saving, you'll see your family member appear on the Family Protection page.

Managing a Family Member Contact:


Once a family member is added, you can manage their contact record directly from the list.


  • Use the kebab menu (three vertical dots) to delete the contact information
  • Select the visibility (eye) icon to view their account Dashboard (Free or Licensed)

The visibility (eye) icon provides a "view only" view of their Dashboard status, but the family member must log in and complete their profile details before scanning begins.



Purchasing and Assigning Licenses:


You can purchase and assign licenses directly from the Family Protection page.


  • Click Purchase Licenses (top-right) to buy additional licenses
  • Click Assign License next to the family member's name to apply a license

What Your Family Member Needs to Do Next:


After you add your family member, they should log in to Privacy Bee using the email address listed on the Family Protection page on our website and complete their profile.


Once their profile is completed:


  • Scanning will begin to search for their online exposures
  • Results will appear in their Dashboard once scanning completes


Completing profile details helps us match exposures accurately and start scanning as soon as possible.



When Does the Removal Process Begin?


If you've purchased and assigned a license (including a gifted license), removal work will begin after their scans are complete and exposures are identified.
