How do I Configure my Trust Network and Privacy Preferences?

Marking a company as "Trusted" or "Not Trusted" from your Essentials, Pro, or Signature License Dashboard is easy! The following article and screenshots will give an understanding of how to set your Privacy Preferences.

"Trusted Relationships":

"Trusted" relationships could be your favorite shopping places, streaming services you watch, where you get your news, the games you play on your phone, and more. These organizations are permitted to hold your data through a "Trusted" privacy relationship. It's a good practice to periodically review this list and revoke permissions where you no longer work with that company.

"Not Trusted" Relationships:

"Not Trusted" relationships refer to companies you no longer wish to share your data with. You can choose to set the relationship as "Not Trusted" and request that Privacy Bee send them a data deletion request. For companies not classified as Data Brokers or People Search Sites, Privacy Bee must have a digital trail to prove that requests originate from our subscribers, not from random sources.

Please read our article "How do I Submit a Custom Deletion Request?" for complete instructions to request that Privacy Bee send a deletion request to companies not classified as Data Brokers or People Search Sites.

Marking Companies as "Trusted" or "Not Trusted":

From the Dashboard, navigate to the "Companies" page (located on the left navigation bar), enter the company name in the search bar, and wait for the information to be populated.

You can also use your Excruciating Detail page to search for companies.

After typing in the name of the company you wish to view, you will see matching company names under the search bar or on the screen's right side. Click on it, and it will take you to the company profile page, as seen below.

If the company you are looking for isn't on the list, click the blue "Request a Company to be Added" button and follow the flow!

As you can see, Macy's is in a "neutral" state of trust. No radio button (empty circles) is selected, so you can make the decision that best suits your privacy preferences. As a License holder, this is one of the rare occasions you have to be hands-on.

Neutral Trust

After selecting "Trusted" or "Not Trusted," you will be prompted to confirm your selection.

After clicking the radio button and confirming your selection, it will appear in the "Activity" tab.
