How Do I Configure My Trust Network And Privacy Preferences?
Marking a company as Negative/Untrusted from your Pro Account Dashboard is easy! For companies not classified as Data Brokers or People Search Sites, Privacy Bee must have a digital trail proving the requests are from our subscribers and not random sources. The following article and screenshots will give an understanding of how to set your Privacy Preferences.
From the Exposure Dashboard, please go to Set Your Privacy Choices (right-hand side of the screen), type in the company name or domain in the Company Search search bar, and wait for the information to be filled out.
| |
After typing in the name of the company you wish to view, you will get a drop-down of matching companies for which we have created pages. If the company you are looking for is not on that list, click the "Request a Company to be Added" button! If it is, click on it! This will take you to the company profile page, as seen below.
As you can see, Macy's is in a "neutral" state of trust. No checkmark or X is selected like some of the registered Data Brokers or People Search Sites, so you have to set that relationship and request that removal yourself. As a Pro license holder, this is one of the rare occasions you have to be hands-on.

After clicking the X indicating a Negative/Untrusted relationship, a new list will appear below, with one box unchecked. If you want Privacy Bee to send a deletion request on your behalf, ensure you tick the box beside "Request that they delete my data," as otherwise, we do not have enough of a digital trail to prove that it is our users requesting these deletions!

| After clicking the checkbox, you will see a message in the purple side menu informing you that you asked us to contact the company to delete your data. After that, you are all set! |
This may seem like a few extra steps. While similar to simply setting trusted relationships, we have to have this extra click of requesting your data be deleted from companies not classified as data brokers or people search sites. Privacy Bee MUST have a digital trail proving the requests come from our subscribers and not random sources.
We provide a vast collection of support resources to help you make the most of your External Data Privacy protection with Privacy Bee.
