How do I Manage my Identity Vault?
The Identity Vault is your secure hub for storing your Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Here, you can view and update details related to your potential exposures. You'll also be able to add details such as maiden or previous names, nicknames, common misspellings, physical addresses, active email addresses, and phone numbers you use.
Potential Exposures:
Privacy Bee will show the types of information listed in each exposure: Name, Address, Phone Number, Email, and Relative. As you scroll through the potential exposures our scan has identified, you can use the "Add to vault" or "Ignore" buttons. Clicking the "Add to vault" button will prompt you to add each piece of information to your vault, as shown in the screenshot below. Adding "Relative" contact information is optional. As always, inactive email addresses and non-working phone numbers cannot be added to the Identity Vault since there's no way to retrieve the one-time codes for identity verification. We still have you covered, though! Even if the potential exposures aren't added to your Identity Vault, they will remain as "Exposed" in the "Status" category of your Excruciating Detail page for our Global Response Team or SARA to take action.
Clicking the "Ignore" button will show a drop-down menu to choose either "Ignore as duplicate" or "Ignore - not me" options. Either option will move the exposure to the Ignored Records section of your Identity Vault.
Ignored Records:
This section provides a list of the exposures that are not about you. If you accidentally move an exposure to this section of your Identity Vault, it's easy to remove it. Tap the kebab menu (three vertical dots) and click the red "Remove" button to restore it to the potential exposures.
Partial Records:
This section displays masked or incomplete information that our scans or Global Response Team were unable to verify as your identity.
