How do I Manage my Limited Power of Attorney?

Limited Power of Attorney (LPoA): What It Is and How It Works

Overview

Privacy Bee's Limited Power of Attorney (LPoA) allows us to act as your representative only for privacy-related requests.

Our LPoA is extremely limited in scope. It authorizes Privacy Bee to communicate on your behalf and submit privacy-related requests - such as data deletion and opt-out requests.

It does not grant control over finances, legal decisions, or any non-privacy matters.

Is the LPoA Required?

The LPoA is not required, but we strongly recommend signing it.

Why signing helps

Some Data Brokers will only honor privacy requests when accompanied by a signed LPoA. Signing it can slightly increase the number of successful deletions.

Where to Find and Sign the LPoA

You can access the LPoA directly from your account:

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Open the Limited Power of Attorney tab
  • Review the document carefully
  • Sign at the bottom exactly as your name appears on the form
  • Tap the blue** "Sign Form" **button

Please read before signing

It’s important to review the document so you understand what you are authorizing and what you are not.

What You Should Know Before and After Signing

  • You can revoke the LPoA at any time
  • A red “Revoke Signature” button appears after signing
  • Clicking “Revoke Signature” immediately cancels the LPoA
  • You can re-sign the LPoA whenever you choose
  • A copy of the LPoA is always available in Account Settings
  • You can download the LPoA at any time using the **“Download PDF” **button
  • The LPoA can be downloaded, signed manually, and uploaded to your License
  • Signing the LPoA may result in a minor increase in successful removals

You’ll see a screen similar to the example below, where you can revoke the LPoA or download a PDF copy:
