How do I Manage the Potential Exposures in my Identity Vault?

Identity Vault Overview

The Identity Vault is your secure hub for storing your Personally Identifiable Information (PII). Here, you can view and update details related to your potential exposures.

What You Can Add to Your Identity Vault

You can store the following types of information:

  • Names: Maiden names, previous names, nicknames, common misspellings
  • Addresses: Current or past physical addresses
  • Contact Info: Active email addresses and phone numbers

For complete instructions on updating your PII, please read our article "How do I add an Email Address, Physical Address, and Phone Number?"

Potential Exposures

Privacy Bee helps identify potential exposures of your personal information online.

Each exposure may include:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • Email
  • Relative

When reviewing potential exposures:

"This Is Me" button: Use this to add information to your Identity Vault. Click it if the information are yours or directly related to you.

Adding a "Relative" is optional. Inactive emails and non-working phone numbers cannot be added because verification codes cannot be retrieved. Exposures not added to your vault will remain as “Discovered” in the Status category of your Data Broker page for action by our Global Response Team.

Add to vault

"X" button: Click to open options “Ignore as duplicate” or “Ignore – not me” when the information isn’t yours.

Either option will move the exposure to the Ignored Records section.

Ignore

Ignored Records

This section lists exposures that are not related to you.

If you accidentally move an exposure to this section of your Identity Vault, simply tap the kebab menu (three vertical dots) and click the red "Remove" button to restore it to the potential exposures.

Partial Records

This section displays masked or incomplete information that our scans or Global Response Team were unable to verify as your identity.
