How do I set up my Family Member's License?

Overview

Setting up Family Protection involves two essential steps:

  1. Adding your family member to the Family Protection page so they can create their own account
  2. Making sure their Identity Vault is completed before assigning a license

Completing these steps ensures Privacy Bee can begin scanning for your family member’s exposures as soon as their license is assigned.

Step 1: Add Your Family Member

Before assigning a license, you’ll need to add your family member’s contact details.

Go to your Family Protection page, tap the "Add FamilyMember" button, and add:

  • Their name
  • Their email address

What the Family Protection page does:

Think of the Family Protection page as an invitation space. Adding a family member allows them to create their own Privacy Bee account using their email address.

Step 2: Have Your Family Member Sign In

Once their contact details are added, ask your family member to:

  • Sign in on the Privacy Bee website
  • Use the same email address you added on the Family Protection page

Step 3: Complete the Identity Vault

Your family member must complete their Identity Vault before scans can begin.

This step allows Privacy Bee to:

  • Identify their personal exposures
  • Match data accurately
  • Begin removal and monitoring once a license is assigned

Important:

A license can be assigned at any time, but scans will not start until the Identity Vault is completed.

Step 4: Assign the License

After the Identity Vault is complete:

  • Go to Account Settings
  • Open the Billing tab
  • Find Managed Licenses
  • Click the blue Assign License button
  • Select your family member’s name
  • Click Assign

That’s it! Their license is now active.

Quick Tips

Best Results:

  • Make sure the email address is entered correctly.
  • Encourage your family member to fully complete their Identity Vault.
  • Identity Vault completion helps scans start faster and find more exposures.
