What do the Categories Mean on the Data Brokers Page?

The Data Broker page lets you view and track your personal data exposures and track the progress of Privacy Bee's removal efforts. Each entry provides a clear snapshot of where your information was found, what actions have been taken, and the current status of the removal process.

Some sites update quickly, while others take longer to process removals. It's normal for statuses to remain the same for a while while requests are being worked on.

Dashboard Summary Metrics

  • Companies Monitored: The total number of companies currently being monitored for your information
  • Exposures Detected: The number of exposures our scans have identified
  • Exposures Removed: The number of exposures that have been successfully removed

Data Broker - Summary Metrics

These numbers may change over time as we add more companies to monitoring, detect new exposures, and confirm completed removals.

Exposure Details

Data Broker: The name of the company or data broker where your exposure was found

Status: The current stage of the removal process, which may include:

  • Discovered: The exposure has been detected and is awaiting action from our privacy team.
  • Removal In Progress: A data removal request has been submitted, and we are waiting for the company's response.
  • Closed: The exposure was successfully removed when we last confirmed it. We will continue monitoring in case it returns.
  • Clean: No exposure has been found on the site.

"Closed" means the exposure was removed upon confirmation, but some companies may repost data later. Ongoing monitoring helps us catch and address exposures if they return.

Activity History

  • Last Scan: The most recent date a scan was performed
  • Last Action: The most recent date an action was taken by our system or privacy team

If "Last Scan" and "Last Action" differ, that's expected. Some steps and follow-ups happen between scans.

Coverage

  • Coverage: A green check mark means the company is covered under your current license
