What do the Categories Mean on the Excruciating Detail Page?
The Excruciating Detail page is where you can view and track all of your data exposures, along with the progress of our privacy team's removal efforts. Each category provides a clear snapshot of your exposure status and the actions being taken.
Here's what each of the above categories means:
1 - Company - The name of the company or data broker where your exposure was found.
2 - Last Action - The recent step taken by our system or privacy team.
3 - Events - The number of actions or interactions recorded for that exposure.
4 - Active - The number of active exposures detected on the site.
5 - In Progress - The number of data deletion requests sent to the specific site.
6 - Closed - The number of closed requests to the specific site.
7 - Status - This column will show where we are in the deletion process.
A - Exposed: This means exposure has been detected and is awaiting our privacy professionals to take action
B - In Progress: This means our privacy professionals have submitted a data deletion request to the company and are waiting for the company to respond.
C - Closed: This generally means the exposure has been successfully removed. However, our scans will continue to monitor if your data appears again or if a company re-exposes it.
D - Clean: This means no exposure has been found on the site.
Clicking the down arrow expands the information for each exposure, displaying something similar to this screenshot. The definition for each is below the screenshot.
displaying
- Detected At - This is when the exposure was identified by the system.
- Last Action - The recent step taken by our system or privacy team.
- Remediation - This indicates whether SARA or the Global Response Team is handling the exposure. As our teams make progress, the Request Sent and Closed circle-check icons will be ticked.
