What Does Unscannable Mean?
Why Are Some Sites Marked as "Unscannable"?
At Privacy Bee, our mission is to help reduce the exposure of your personal data by identifying and requesting its removal from Data Brokers and People Search sites. However, you may notice that some sites are labeled as "Unscannable" on your Excruciating Detail page.
What does "Unscannable" mean?
Some websites either:
Sell or share personal data privately, or
Have technical or access restrictions that prevent our automated tools from identifying the data they hold.
These limitations mean we cannot verify the exact information they may have about you through our scanning process.
What does Privacy Bee do in these cases?
Even when a site is marked as "Unscannable," our work doesn't stop there. Our team of privacy professionals proactively submits data deletion requests to these companies on your behalf. This ensures we are still taking active steps to protect your data, even if we can't view the specific details they might hold.
Your privacy remains our priority, and we advocate for your rights regardless of how a site handles or restricts data access.
