What is the Difference Between "Discovered" and "Removal In Progress"?

Discovered: This is where exposures appear after a scan, before any action has been taken.

Removal In Progress: Once our removal team starts working on an exposure, it moves to Removal In Progress. This indicates that we are actively requesting its removal. Depending on the site, exposures can remain in this status for up to three months or longer, as some data broker sites take time to comply. If a site does not remove the information, we will continue requesting that they remove your information.
