What Is The Difference Between "Pending" And "Requested"?
The "Pending" section of the scanning process is where initial exposures go when found via our scan process and before any action is taken. After our removal team (real people doing the job) works on the "Pending" exposures, they will be moved to the "Requested" section.
When placed into "Requested," that means that we are actively working on the removal! Depending on the site, the exposure report can sit in the "Requested" section for up to three months. Usually, it takes about that long to get the data broker sites to comply, but if they do not, at that point, we do continue requesting that they remove your information. Though three months is the average amount of time, "Requested," deletions can remain in that section for longer than that, depending on the site itself and the challenges we face with some sites.
