Even without a Privacy Bee Pro Account, we provide manual removal options for most sites we scan to let all our customers take their privacy into their own hands. This article will explain where you can find the removal guides for each site when available.
Looking at your exposure dashboard, every scan we've done that is incomplete or in the process of being removed appears in the "Pending" column, as you can see in the screenshot below.
If you want to remove your information from a specific site manually, you must first expand the entry of whichever site you wish to remove your information from. When it is expanded, you should see something similar to the view on the right. | |
With the exposure extended, you can see a "Free Removal Guide" button that will lead you to the company profile page when clicked. On this page, you can see the trust score the company has earned, a description of how safe they are and if they comply with our data removal requests, and the removal guide as you scroll down further. |
If you scroll down on the page, you find the complete guide to removing your information from the site you clicked on! It has a series of steps to guide you through the process. Each website will have a guide for their removal process, if available.
Every guide will have a series of steps with descriptions and screenshots to make the process as easy for you to complete as possible. As you follow these steps, if you have any questions, you can consult the FAQs at the bottom of the page or open a support ticket for questions that need to be answered for the specific site you are attempting to remove information from.
When you complete the removal process, there will be a waiting period, which can vary per site. Then, when you no longer see your information on their page, you can mark the removal as done using the purple prompt box. |
