A Closed status is usually a positive sign, but it can mean one of three things:
- Successfully removed - Your information was confirmed as removed in the most recent scan. Privacy Bee will continue monitoring in case it reappears.
- Company unresponsive - All reasonable removal attempts were exhausted, and the site did not respond. Privacy Bee will automatically reopen the exposure on a future scan and try again.
- Data did not match - The information on the site did not match your Identity Vault closely enough to submit a verified request.
If you see this status often, make sure your Identity Vault is as complete and accurate as possible.
What if My Information Is Still Visible Online?
If your information is still visible on a website after an exposure has been marked Closed, you can report it to Privacy Bee for review.
Essentials License Holders: If the exposure is on a People Search Site covered by Privacy Bee, contact our Support Team with the URL (or company name) of the listing so we can investigate.
Pro License Holders: You can report the listing directly from your account:
- Open the Data Brokers page.
- Select Report URL in the upper-left corner.
- Enter the URL of the website or listing displaying your information.
- Select Submit Request.
You can also contact our Privacy Concierge team through chat or at support@privacybee.com.
Signature Services License Holders: You can submit a Custom Removal Request using the same steps outlined above or contact your dedicated Signature Services Team member for assistance.
Privacy Bee will review the reported exposure and determine whether additional removal action is appropriate.
