What Privacy Bee Scans
Privacy Bee actively monitors the following types of sites and sources:
- Data Brokers - Companies that collect and sell personal information
- People Search Sites - Sites that publish personal details like names, addresses, and phone numbers
- People Search Site Affiliates - Partner sites connected to major people search platforms
- Social Media Sites - Public profile information that may expose your PII
- Search Engine Results - How your information appears across Google, Bing, Yahoo, and Yandex
- Dark Web Monitoring* - Hidden online marketplaces where stolen data is bought and sold (Signature Services license only)*
- Marketing Opt-Outs - Marketing databases and lists that use your information for targeted outreach
- Custom Requests - Sites you identify that fall outside our standard database
How Many Sites Does Privacy Bee Cover?
Privacy Bee’s database currently includes over 1,000 data brokers and people search sites that are scanned continuously, 24/7. We have also manually researched and mapped the removal process for an additional 180,000+ custom sites.
We are always working to expand our coverage. If your information appears somewhere that isn’t in our standard database, you can submit a Custom Removal Request, and our team will work to address it.
What If a Site Isn’t in the Database?
No scanning system catches everything. If you find your information on a site that Privacy Bee hasn’t flagged, you can submit a Custom Removal Request directly from your Data Brokers page. Here’s how:
- From your left navigation bar, select Data Brokers
- Click the blue Report URL button in the upper right corner of the page
- Paste the direct URL to the page where your information appears
- Submit your request
