Privacy Bee is the #1 most effective way to remove your personal info from the web.

What to Expect: Re-exposures and Ongoing Monitoring

Overview:

Once your Identity Vault is complete and Privacy Bee has started scanning, you may start noticing things in your dashboard that feel unexpected. This article answers the most common questions about what you’re seeing and why it’s completely normal.

Why Are My Exposure Numbers So High?

This is one of the most common questions we hear from new users. If your exposure numbers feel overwhelming when you first log in - that’s completely normal, and it doesn’t mean something has gone wrong.

Data brokers have been collecting, sharing, and selling personal information for years. The numbers you’re seeing reflect that accumulated exposure - not something that happened overnight. Privacy Bee is now actively working to address it on your behalf, and your numbers will improve over time as scans are completed and removals are processed.

Why Has an Exposure Reappeared After It Was Already Removed?

This is called a re-exposure - and it is a completely expected part of how data brokers operate.

Even after Privacy Bee successfully removes your information from a site, that data broker may re-add it at a later date from another source. When this happens, Privacy Bee detects it and begins the removal process again automatically.

This is exactly why ongoing monitoring matters. Privacy Bee is not a one-time fix - it is a continuous process working on your behalf around the clock.

Removing your information from one site does not automatically remove it from every other site that copied it. Some brokers also republish data after it has been removed, which is why Privacy Bee continues monitoring and repeating removal efforts over time.

Why Hasn’t My Privacy Risk Score Changed Yet?

Your Privacy Risk Score reflects how exposed your personal information is online. It may fluctuate or remain unchanged as Privacy Bee discovers new exposures and processes removal requests.

Changes to your score depend on several factors, including scan results, removal progress, and the responsiveness of individual data brokers.

A score that hasn’t changed doesn’t mean Privacy Bee has stopped working on your behalf.

How Long Do Removals Take?

Removal timelines vary depending on the Data Broker. Some requests may be processed within days, while others can take several months or longer.

Privacy Bee continues working on removal requests, but some companies may delay, refuse, or fail to respond. Because each company controls how it processes privacy requests, successful removal cannot be guaranteed.

Privacy Bee also monitors for re-exposures, since previously removed information can reappear.

What Should I Do While I Wait?

The best thing you can do right now is make sure your Identity Vault is as complete as possible. The more information Privacy Bee has, the more thorough your scans will be - and the more accurately we can identify and address your exposures.

Beyond that - Privacy Bee is handling the work. Check your dashboard regularly and let the process do what it’s designed to do.
