My License Expired and I Purchased a New One - Why Isn't It Active?
My license expired and I bought a new one - why isn't it active?
When a license expires and you purchase a new one it appears as a brand new license on your Billing tab in Account Settings. It does not automatically reactivate or reassign itself to your previous account or to a family member - you must complete the assignment step manually before protection resumes.
If the license is for yourself:
- From your left navigation bar select Account Settings
- Click the Billing tab
- Under Managed Licenses click the blue Assign License button
- Select your name (or your family member’s name) from the dropdown
- Click Assign
If the license is for a family member: Follow the same steps above but select your family member's name from the dropdown instead.
Until the license has been assigned the removal process will not resume and the account will remain on a Free Scan Only basis.
