Why do I have two accounts / I paid for a license. Why does my dashboard feel unprotected?


This is one of the most common sources of confusion for new users - and it has a straightforward explanation.


When you create a Privacy Bee account your license is tied to the email address used at the time of purchase. If you previously signed up for a free scan using a different email address, that created a separate account. If you then purchased a license using a different email address, your paid license lives on that second account - not the first one.


This means if you log in using your original free account email you will see an account with no active license, which can feel like your protection isn't working. But your paid protection is active - it's just on a different account.


How to fix it: Log in using the email address you used when you purchased your license. That is the account where your protection is active and where your removal work is being tracked.
