Why Is My Privacy Risk Score Going Up or Not Changing?

Why is my Privacy Risk Score going up or not changing?

Both are completely normal - and neither means something has gone wrong.

If your score is going up: Your score can increase when new exposures are discovered during a scan. Data Brokers continuously update their databases which means your information can reappear on sites where it was previously removed or show up on sites that haven’t been scanned before. Privacy Bee is detecting a new exposure is the system working correctly - it found something and is now taking action on it.

If your score isn't changing: Your score updates as removals are confirmed, not as requests are submitted. If removals are in progress but not yet confirmed, your score may stay the same for a period of time even though work is actively happening in the background. Score improvement is gradual and most users begin seeing meaningful change within the first few weeks.

The most important thing to know: Your Privacy Risk Score reflects your current level of exposure - not your effort or progress. Privacy Bee is continuously working on your behalf whether the number moves or not. Keep your Identity Vault as complete as possible and check back regularly to track your improvement over time.
